about
Christine Sharp is an artist, writer, editor and designer who has worked in the creative industries for over 20 years.
Prior to establishing her freelance business in 2006, Christine worked for Metro Arts for nearly a decade, first as the manager of publications & publicity, and later as the graphic designer and photographer.
Christine completed a Graduate Diploma in Creative Industries, Creative Writing at QUT in 2007, graduating with Distinction; she holds an Associate Diploma of Expressive and Performing Arts from the University of New South Wales, majoring in Drama; and she is midway through her Master of Arts (Research) in Writing for Youth & Children at QUT, for which she is writing and illustrating a visual novella.
She has exhibited paintings and illustrations at The View Factory in Newcastle; RAW SPACE, Metro Arts, Percolator Gallery and Verve in Brisbane; and she is the featured artist at Mondo Organics.
Besides designing and editing work for clients as part of her eclectic business, she is busy painting a new series of artworks and creating illustrated texts. Christine has a particular penchant for beautiful and unorthodox printed publications, as well as hybrid arts projects — those that embody elements of word, image, design and theatre. |
